Surfing Holidays in Canary Islands - Surf Camp and Surf School in Lanzarote

Can I take the surf or Kite surf course in Famara if I'm staying at Puerto del carmen or Costa Teguise?
Yes, we will pick you up/drop of from your hotel/apartment (minimum 2 persons). Check our Surf School Famara and Kite Surf School Famara pages for details.

How is the weather?
Sunny, all year around. Weather is really mild averaging mid 20C..

How is the water temperature?
Sea water is warm all year around +-20C.You need a 3/2 mm wet suit for the winter months.

How are the waves?
Good all year around. Best season is from September to April.

How do I get to the surf camp?
Our surfing & Kiteboarding School is located at Caleta de Famara in Lanzarote, on the Canary Islands (the European Hawaii):

• Rent a car (we can organize for you) - 135 Euros/Week (unlimited mileage and full insurance).
• Taxi Airport/Caleta de Famara +- 25€
• Directions from Arrecife Airport

Is the surf equipment included?
Yes, if you book surf camp package. No, you can't take it home after your holidays... (if you pay for it, no problem). But of course you can also bring your own equipment.

Can I buy surf gear or fix my board over there ?
Yes, there are surf shops here.

Which is the nearest airport?
Arrecife (ACE). It's 30km from the surf camp, only 25m by car. We can organize car rental (airport pick up) or transfers for you.

What kind of rooms do you have?
We have single, double (also with double bed) and rooms for 4 to 6 people.

Are your courses for beginners or people who never surfed before?
Yes, that's why we have a surf school. It's the perfect place to learn how to surf or improve your style.

I want to buy a surf board and/or wetsuit or Kite surf gear. Do you have something?
Yes, we can get you new and second hand stuff.

Do I need to bring a sleeping bag?
Only if you wish... you don't need to. We provide covers, linen, pillows, towels, etc.
