Xico started the season in 2005 with an amazing 1st place at the Volcom Rumble Fish competition in the Algarve. He had a great year ahead of him until, one day, surfing in Praia Grande, he had a fall on a wave and broke his leg in three places, leaving him out of competition until April 2006.

Since then, Xico has made an amazing come back showing that he has not lost any of the talent he had and will have a lot more to offer this year!
