- How to Book
These pages state the booking conditions that apply when you make a booking with Wavepals.com
Wavepals.com helps you confirming bookings with different service providers (e.g. surf camp), in different destinations around the world. We do not own or run any service providers (e.g. surf camp) ourselves, we act as Booking Agents, helping before, during and after the booking process.
How to Book
In order to confirm your booking and services contracted you agree to pay as deposit a percentage of the total value of your booking, the remaining balance is to be paid up to 60/30* days before arrival date (conditions depend on services, destinations and seasons).
If the outstanding balance payments are not received by the due dates indicated: We may cancel the booking with consequent loss of deposits and payment of any cancellation and finantial charges
If you are organising a group of individuals and booking on their behalf you, as group organiser accept, on behalf of each individual, the duty to provide payment.
All prices are subject to availability and can be withdraw and or varied without notice.
Prices are quoted in EURO (some destinations in USD) and may be subject to exchange rates fluctuations beyond our control until paid in full.
We accept bank transfer and paypal(*) as payment methods.
(*) Depending on destination / +5% admin fees
After confirming your booking you will receive a booking confirmation voucher, final destination contacts and full arrival details.
The deposit fee is NOT refundable.
If you cancel your booking up to 15 days before arrival, Wavepals will issue a voucher (amounting your deposit fee) that can be used for the period of 1 year for the same destination/service provider (e.g. surf camp) as long as the booking value is equal or superior to the previously cancelled one. This voucher is personal and non-transferable.
If cancellation is less than 14 days from arrival date or in the event of a no-show you are not entitled to a voucher or any type of refund.
Cancellations/changes whilst you are at final destination are non refundable and you must claim on your travel insurance.
The minimum fee for booking amendments or cancellations is 25 EUR/40 USD.
All cancellations/amendments have to be done by writing.
In case of groups: If there is a cancelation within a travel party, the deposit cannot be claimed or discounted as part of the total balance of the party booking. A individual voucher(s) will be issued in the name of the person(s) that cancelled, and not in the name of the party leader (usually booking "name"/person) thus cannot be used as a discount within the travelling group final payment balance.
If you wish to make any change to your booking after it has been confirmed, please contact us by writing as soon as possible. We will try to assist you but please keep in mind that amendment requests not always can be met and are subject to availability. Any costs incurred by Wavepals and any costs or charges incurred or imposed by any of the service suppliers (e.g. surf or kite camp) have to be paid by you.
Your contract is with the final service provider (e.g. surf camp) and not with Wavepals.com, meaning: The service provider (e.g. surf camp) is responsible to provide you with the contracted services. Wavepals.com is not responsible for any losses, damages, changes or other problems occurring before, during or after your stay/service. It works, and so far we have not had a single complain and in the highly unlikely event of a problem arising, our liability to you, if any, is limited to the deposit and the reservation fee you paid.
Surf Travel Insurance
Wavepals recommends and our travel partners require you to carry sufficient travel insurance protection. Participants are responsible for all associated insurance coverage.
Although most surf schools include a Civil liability and personal accident insurance (minimum required by law), Compreensive Personal accident or travel insurance is not included in any of our prices. It is recommended that participants carry insurances that covers accidents and health issues incurred abroad (international insurance coverage) and travel cancellation expenses and luggage insurance.
Any complaints regarding insurance matters must be made to the insurance company. It is your responsibility to ensure that you arrive at the beginning of the itinerary within a reasonable amount of time to start the pre-set travel, given that we cannot reimburse you outside the terms of our reservation conditions.
If you booked flights independently, you might consider taking out an additional insurance to cover the cost of the cancelled itinerary if your airline company cancels your flight, thus preventing you from flying to the beginning of the holiday package.
Wavepals provides contacts for the celebration of insurance contracts that may be signed according to your journey and contracted activities, to insure assistance situations and cancellation fees.

Acceptance of booking conditions
By accepting this booking conditions you confirm that you are of sufficient legal age to use this web site and to create binding legal obligations for any liability you may incur as a result of the use of this web site.
You also agree to indemnify and hold Wavepals.com harmless from any loss, liability, claim or demand, including reasonable attorney's fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of the web site.
Wavepals.com's failure to enforce at any time or for any period any one or more of these terms shall not be a waiver of them or the rights attaching to any of them.
It is your responsibility to check the current terms and conditions before departure to your destination by visiting our web site.
Wavepals.com reserves the right to change these booking conditions as well as the contents of this web site for any reason and without notice. After you have made a booking it is your responsibility to check these terms for changes regularly, before departure to final destination.
We take your privacy seriously. The information we collect on this site is necessary for the proper functioning of this site and to facilitate our online booking process. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information with third parties. By using our website you agree to the collection and use of the following information by Wavepals:
- Booking Forms: The basic information we collect through our Booking process is to properly manage your booking with Wavepals.
- Email mailing lists: By signing up for free services such as email newsletters, or news bulletins you agree to receive product and special travel announcements from Wavepals. You may unsubscribe or cancel at any time.
- Competitions/Promotional features: When you enter a contest or other promotional feature, we will ask for your name, address, and e-mail address so we can administer the contest and notify winners.
- Photos: The client agrees to be photographed throughout the journey at various activities and sport events. Furthermore, the taken picures can be used in Wavepals.com site(s). This consent can be cancelled any time in written form.
With regard to the registered data of the clients, Wavepals as the organizer always acts in compliance with the regulations of data privacy and media law.
All bookings on this web site are made with the chosen service provider (e.g. surf camp) and not with Wavepals.com. Wavepals.com acts as an agent and only facilitates the making of reservations with the service provider (e.g. surf camp). Wavepals.com is not a party to the contract between you and the service provider (e.g. surf camp) and has no responsibility or liability to you in respect of the terms of that contract whether directly or indirectly.
Wavepals.com is not liable or responsible for loss of or damage to any property or death or injury to any person during your stay at or during activities or your transportation to and from the service provider (e.g. surf camp) .
All service providers (e.g. surf camps) collaborating with Wavepals.com are selected for the quality they offer regarding location, conditions, accommodation, tuition's and services. However Wavepals.com is not responsible for weather conditions, flat surf or your personal achievement in the contracted activities.
In case of accommodation, rooms may vary in size and may have different amenities. The service provider (e.g. surf camp) makes all room assignments and Wavepals.com has no control over which room you will get. If the arranged accommodation is not available or for any other reason not suitable at the given dates the service provider (e.g. surf camp) may change your booking to another accommodation of a similar grade. Wavepals.com is not liable for additional expenses or any claim whatsoever due to these kinds of changes.
Wavepals.com shall in no way be liable to you in the event that the contracted services are not suitable for your purposes, no matter what that purpose is.
