+ How can I book?

Please fill out our online pre-booking form. This form in no way constitutes a formal booking but helps us to obtain and give you all the necessary information for your surfing holiday in Lisbon. Alternatively you can always email us with your specific query (

+ How do I pay?

In order to confirm your booking and services contracted you agree to pay a deposit (a percentage of the total value of your booking). The remaining balance is to be paid locally upon arrival to the surf camp/school. Please read our booking terms and conditions.

+ How many days in advance do I need to book?

As long as there is availability, you can book at any time you want. However, we strongly recommend securing your place well in advance since we do get full, especially during peak seasons.

+ Do I need to arrive on Sunday and leave on Sunday?

No, you can arrive and depart any day of the week and stay for as long as you want!

+ Can I take a surf camp package and my companion accommodation only or a different package?


+ Can I change the dates after I book?

Yes, if there's availability for the new dates and when advised at least 2 weeks before due arrival date.

+ Do I get my money back in case of cancellation?

Please check our booking terms and conditions.

+ Can I get a discount?

We do have discounts available for longer durations. The more surfing you do the cheaper it gets.
Also, if you are a regular costumer or a big group we can talk about it .o)

+ Are flights included in your price?

None of our packages include plane tickets.

+ What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in from 15h00 to 20h00.
For arrivals after 20h00 there is a late check-in fee of 30 EUR.

Check-out until 11h00.

If you need to check-in or out outside these times, please contact us and, if possible, we will try to accommodate your request.

+ What choice of accommodation do I have?

You can choose from shared or private rooms. Please read more in our accommodation section.

+ How many people are in each room?

There are different types of rooms: single, twin, double, triple, quadruple and quintuple.

+ Where can I keep my valuables?

Private rooms (single and twin/double) have their own key. For guests staying in shared rooms, there are individual lockers.

+ Do I need to bring a sleeping bag, linen or towels?

No, you don't. Complete linen, covers and towels* are included (changed once a week).
If you want an extra set of towels* = 5 EUR.
Please bring your own beach towel.

* 2 towels (1 large + 1 small)

+ Is all surf equipment included?

Yes, all surf equipment is included if you book surf school or a surf camp pack.

+ What nationalities do you have the most?

Normally Europeans... but we're happy to say that we have costumers from all around the world. We are an international surf company so we have guests of different nationalities.

+ Are you open all year round?

Yes! Surf school only closes on Christmas day and New Year's Eve.

+ What kind of activities do you provide?

We are experts in surf tuition for all levels. If you're interested in other activities such as kitesurf, SUP or windsurf we can recommend a specialized outdoor's company.

+ Are your courses for beginners and people who never surfed before?

The surf camp in Lisbon provides beginner surf courses for those who have never surfed before, improvement courses for those above beginner level and intermediate courses for those who have already gone through some surf courses before but want to continue to improve their skills.
It's the perfect place to learn how to surf or just enjoy surfing!

+ But I have done a beginner course before!

No worries. You can join our level 2 group. Surf instructors will evaluate your skills and help you with all you need to improve your surf level and skills.

+ Do you have surf lessons every day?

Yes, including Saturday and Sunday.

+ Is there a minimum number of people for the surf classes?

No, classes are held no matter how many students but the maximum ratio of students per instructor is of 8.

+ How many hours per day can I expect to stay in the water?

Typical class duration is 2 hours, including warm up, theory and practice. However, when the tides allow it, we can also offer two surf sessions in one day (2 sessions/day x 2 hour/session = 4 h/day).

+ Do you provide private surf lessons?

Yes, we can arrange for private lessons, but only if there are available instructors.

+ What language do the instructors/guides speak?
They all speak English and Portuguese. Some also speak Spanish.
+ Is there a minimum age requirement to join group classes?

Yes, age requirements are as follows:

- 4 to 8 years old: private surf lessons
- 9 to 14 years old: children group lessons
- over 15 years old: adult group lessons

+ Do I have to know how to swim?

Yes, all clients have to know how to swim. It's important that you have good body resistance, absence of serious respiratory, pulmonary and cardiac illnesses and swimming ability - at least 25 meters crawl.

+ How do I get to the surf camp from the airport?

Direct transfers:
Airport transfers are available for an extra fee: 35 to 45 EUR/trip, depending on the day and time of arrival.

Rent-a-car in Lisbon:
We work with a car rental company in Lisbon that offers very nice prices - click here for more info and prices.

Public transportation:
Take the red subway line at Lisbon airport and change to the green line on "Alameda" station.
Get out at Cais do Sodré station (last station on the green line).
Take the Cascais Line at Cais do Sodré train station - the train should say "Todas", because that's the one that stops in every station.
Get out at Caxias station (it's a 25 minutes trip) and you'll be just 5 minutes walking distance from the house!
Trains run all day & night long and there’s a train at least every 30 minutes.

+ What is the nearest airport?

The closest airport to the surf camp is Lisbon (LIS) - approximately 23 km - so that should be your destination airport when searching for flights to Lisbon.

+ How far are the closest services?
  • Supermarket: 500 meters
  • Restaurant: 250 meters
  • Bar: 250 meters
  • Snack-bar/pastry shop: 500 meters
  • ATM/Bank: 200 meters
  • Hospital: 5 km
+ How is the weather?

Sunny all year around!
Atlantic/Mediterranean, with mild winters and hot Summers. Great weather all year long with colder and rainy periods during Winter and Spring months (December to April). Temperatures can go as high as 38 ºC in the Summer and drop to 10ºC in Winter, but don't worry, the house has central heating.

+ How is the water temperature?

You need a 3/2 mm wet suit all year around. In August and September you can surf in shorts most times.
November/ March you might need a 4/3 mm wetsuit if you are not used to colder water (around 15ºC).

+ How are the waves?

There are waves all year round! If you are an intermediate/experienced surfer the best season is from September to April. If you are a beginner, there are always safe sheltered spots even in the peak of winter. Please find more info about Lisbon's waves here.

+ What is the best season of the year to catch good waves?

The best time for a surf trip to Lisbon is from September to April (advanced surfers) although there are waves all year round.
If you are a novice join our surf camp or pick your surf spot carefully as some of the waves are unforgiving, breaking over shallow reefs.

+ Can you tell me the nearest surf spots?

The closes surf spot is Carcavelos.

+ Are there any rips at your local surf spots?

Every spot has some rips, the sand banks are always changing thus making the rips. But don't worry, you will surf at the safest spots and always under supervision!

+ Are there any problems with the local surfers?

If you follow the basic surf ethics and rules concerning the respect for the locals you won´t have any problems.
